Pack of coated Putange type mole traps and stainless triggers, made by us.
Following fantastic feedback from our group of testers we have made some alterations to our first drawings. This is the second version of the French Putange type trap. Made from 5.5 mm mild steel.
These traps have been shot peened to give the steel a slightly rough finish. They have then been given a yellow passivated finish which will prevent the zinc from corroding and increases the overall protection of the finish.
This finish provides a rainbow or iridescent appearance.
The triggers are made from stainless spring steel. Triggers are also available to purchase separately, click here for more information

These are excellent traps to use in wet (as well as normal) conditions as they retain the ability to work where a corroded trap might ‘stick’.

I’ve got them set in the field as I write this, hopefully all full. They seem very well made. My only issue is the triggers. I had to open each one out a bit, as imo the gap wasn’t big enough ,infact there was no gap, just a cut.

Been using putagnes for a few years now and wanted to try the anti corrosion type. The spring on the Jaws on these are not so strong as other type I have, This is due to the steel type. But hopefully these won’t corrode.
