    Hi, me = totally inexperienced and not too keen on killing animals. I had to trap a mole ruining some grass I had lovingly grown from seed on my allotment. Sorry mole. It’s just about my needs this time. Along comes my mole trap delivered quickly to me in Norfolk and in beautifully constructed stainless steel. I watch a couple of videos on Youtube (like the guy on the moors etc on how to find a run and how to dig and set a trap).
    With some trial and error I found a run near a molehill using a probe of a thin bamboo cane. I found after digging how it was going both ways – somewhat round a corner but it seemed dooable to set a trap. The passage was smaller than I thought but it was there. I badly dug a hole and tried to keep the run clean and badly refilled it with earth, i.e. compressed with my hands to the sides of the trap, rather than having dug the exact sized hole and just backfilled on top of the trap.
    I came back two days later. I wasn’t expectant of success at all. Wow of wows, trap had caught a mole. First time. Total novice me. Trap = totally effective…. and…well… all those people that were harping on about how difficult this all was are put at the back of the class. This piece of kit is excellent and it works. Let’s take the power back, buy the gear, get rid of middle men, save money and get our own jobs done.

    I have been using your traps for 5 – 6 years & pleased with how they do the job, however my only moan is– the traps I purchased 5 -6 years ago, I’m now unable to use as the wire on the springs is rusting & breaking. The rest of the trap is still like new!
    Now that the traps are all stainless steel I expect this should address the problem.

    Needed adjustment , the triggers were looking backwards facing the centre of the trap when set , they should be either straight or leaning slightly out wards towards the end of the trap, this allows the loop to hit the mole on the chest and not around it’s stomach !

I have a previous batch and these traps not only appear to be strong and very ‘fast’ and catch well but I also find the SS to SS triggers seem to slip better unlike galvanised which can tend to stick.
    I previously had an issue with movement of the spring in the attachment to the body causing mis-alignment of the catching loops but these are much better and it seems to have been resolved.
    I used these traps professionally.
