PRODUCT UPDATE:
We’ve updated the finish on our anti-corrosion putange type traps. We now use a trivalent passivate finish together with the stainless steel triggers, all made by us at The Flat Pack from 5.5mm mild steel. These traps are increasing in popularity and are now one of our best-sellers. Over the last few years we have tested and refined this design, creating one of the most effective mole traps on the market.

Hints and Tips:
- Attach the triggers to the traps with a length of cord
- Use different colour markers to denote the different types of traps you have in the field
IMPORTANT NOTE – to avoid weakening the trap do not open beyond the width of the trigger (27mm). Traps that have been weakened by being over extended are non-refundable.

As far as i can tell as still not deployed them yet these are good quality Putangs right lengths. Plenty of spring in em. Not like the cheap rubbish i bought from fleabag a while back
The star of this show are the setting pliers i bought with em. They are waaaaay better than any setting tool I have had in the past.

Happily using my stainless barrel traps for a while now with great results, however I had two moles I just couldn’t catch. Never seen the putange traps before so thought I would give them a try. Arrived next day delivery and popped them in the two runs. 8 hours later two pesky moles sorted. Really easy to set with the setting pliers and you can’t fit loads in a pocket. Don’t think I will be going back to the barrel traps now.

Very simple and effective. The putange type of traps were most useful where the mole tunnels were close to walls and borders. I bought the anti-corrosion version and recommend getting the setting pliers with the traps as this makes inserting the triggers straightforward and safe. The triggers need to be attached to the trap using a short lanyard (string will do) to avoid losing them. In short – these traps work.

These are excellent traps to use in wet (as well as normal) conditions as they retain the ability to work where a corroded trap might ‘stick’.

I’ve got them set in the field as I write this, hopefully all full. They seem very well made. My only issue is the triggers. I had to open each one out a bit, as imo the gap wasn’t big enough ,infact there was no gap, just a cut.

Been using putagnes for a few years now and wanted to try the anti corrosion type. The spring on the Jaws on these are not so strong as other type I have, This is due to the steel type. But hopefully these won’t corrode.
